When Braiding Hair Is Illegal. Isis Brantley just wants to braid hair. Unfortunately, for her, that means 2,250 hours in barber school, multiple exams, and equipping her salon with 10 workstations for students. Yesterday, she filed suit in the U.S. District Court against the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. She says that her rights under the 14th Amendment have been violated. This isn’t her first battle. She was arrested and handcuffed in 1997 for braiding without a license.
Missing Grandfather and Grandkids Found. After two days of driving around the country, William Gomez and his grandkids have been found. Ever since he had a surgery a few years ago, Gomez sometimes becomes confused. It’s believed that was the case in this situation.
Fire Ants Attack Middle School Football Field. The only thing worse than finding a snake in your underwear drawer is practicing football on a field full of fire ants. Luckily, the folks at Joe M.
