Obama to Introduce New Rules on Assault Weapons, Background Checks

This is Dallas-related insomuch as it’s America-related, safety-related, and intelligence-related, so I’m posting it. At a noon news conference, President Barack Obama announced plans to introduce legislation next week that includes a ban on assault weapons, magazine capacity limits,  and expanded background checks for gun purchases, the New York Times reports.

“In the days ahead, I intend to use whatever weight this office holds to make them a reality,” he said, according to the newspaper. “If there’s even one life that can be saved, then we’ve got an obligation to try.”

  1. There was been hundreds of rifles brought over these last two months.. And just watch over the next 10 years, how many shootings and killing happen…… Just Watch
