What’s that you say? You want more pictures of our sign installation over the weekend? You’ve come to the right place. The image you see here was taken by FrontBurnervian Cindy Camp, who lives high atop the 1900 McKinney building. Judging from the angle she shot this from, if we turn our office telescope away from the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge and just a little more north — oh, my. Cindy, you might wish to draw the blinds.
After the jump, some pics from our staff photographer, Elizabeth “Spider Monkey” Lavin. She helped document the installation.

The top picture makes the D look like it’s on a building that would get laughed at in the men’s locker room. Hey, I guess size of the building doesn’t matter.
Congratulations, D Magazine, for your new signage, and for not highlighting it in neon!
I was driving from Uptown to Downtown via St. Paul the other day and did not know what was going on when I came upon Ross. I was beyond ecstatic to learn that that was the fuss that was taking place that day! Woo-Hoo!
P.S. Will it light up at night??? Please say, “Yes.”
Torn between blight and tacky.
@KUDOS: It does indeed light up. Last I heard, we were ironing out some issues with the timer that controls the lights. We’ve got the sign plugged into one of those timers you get from CVS to use when you leave town, so it looks like you’re still home.
