Not to toot our own horn, but–wait, yes I will toot our own horn. Just learned that D will be represented by D CEO magazine in the 24th annual National City and Regional Magazine Awards competition. D CEO, which is D’s business publication, was nominated as one of three five finalists in its category, called “ancillary publications.” Texas Monthly led the pack this year with multiple nominations in a variety of categories. The iron will be handed out at the annual conference of the City and Regional Magazine Association May 30-June 1 in New Orleans.

“D CEO, you not ancillary.” [Full disclosure: The only reason I thought of this slightly modified line is because the movie was on last night and I unfortunately wasted a few brain cells watching about 10 minutes of it.]
Ben and RB: Because there seems to be some confusion, let me set the record straight. Adam was the founding editor of D CEO and did a stellar job, as I indicated last week. Adam left the publication in the fall of 2007 to oversee the D Web-site operation. That’s when I came aboard as editor of D CEO. The CRMA made its nomination based on three issues of D CEO: March 2008, June 2008 and September 2008. Now I hope you both will be able to sleep better.
oh.
Thanks Glenn. I was more or less aware of those facts. Perhaps I wouldn’t have taken issue w/ onewhoseesit’s comment if it had said “with the recent success” or “with the NCRMA nomination.” really, i’m not sure why i took issue with it at all. just didnt like the tone, really. Congrats on the nomination.
onewhoseesit-
You deserved to be crushed like the mindless worm you are. Wait, you aren’t Christine, are you?
Ghost – ouch. Is this going to become a forum for disgruntled former employees? If it is, let me know and I’ll put the popcorn on the stove.
Way to go Glenn and the lovely Kristiana Heap and the talented Dave Moore. If anyone out there is looking for great hard-working folks, Kristiana and Dave are the finest.
