Fun times here at FB HQ. The hamsters who run the wheels that control our electricity have twice now taken a smoke break for just long enough to flicker the power. (Those of us with laptops are immune but not insensitive.) I thought it might be D and D alone that’s affected, but I’m told we’re in good standing with the electric company. Plus I read a couple of Twitter reports of similar outages. Be advised. And save your work.

happened at the Chipotle at Preston & NW Hwy about 30-45 mins ago. I don’t believe in twitter, so therefore, I will not twitter.
Ain’t nothing an Un-interruptible Power Supply can’t fix.
i was just driving in the inwood/mockingbird areas and several of the traffic lights were out.
The office closed early today, just got home to my place on McKinney Ave and sometime between when I left here this morning at 10 and home home at 2:30 my power had failed.
fed courthouse
It’s flickered twice at NW Hwy & Central Expy.
just had one in my office at inwood and lovers…just off long enough to restart my computer. what’s going on?
Power just flashed again here twice in a row
Think you may mean “outages” and not “outtages”.
@whackedupside. Fixed and sorry. (It’s hard to type in the dark.)
Two outages at Walnut Hill and Central, about two hours apart. Didn’t last very long, though.
I live in the D neighborhood and not only has the electrical service been on the flicker but cable has been on the blink too.
It’s out over here in the OC also. Is this payback for my post today or just confirmation?

Nothing like a 30 degree electric-less day in your frigid crib to remind me why we’re building our home next year to be off-grid with solar.
Widespread power outages in Lake Highlands all afternoon. I believe the live oaks are the cause. They are the only trees around here this time of year with leaves. Lots(tons) of broken live oak limbs down.
power just went out at our home (belt line & hillcrest) at 8:15pm.. The power also fickered once or twice this afternoon.
