Jeb Hensarling (TX-5) did tell the crowd: “I never thought I’d quote John Belushi in ‘Animal House,’ but it ain’t over ’til we say it’s over!” Later, the Republican congressman–who won his race handily–told us that he was more “disappointed” than surprised at strong showings today by Democrats including Barack Obama. And, if the Illinois senator wins the presidency? “Right now, realism seems to say that [Obama] will govern from the hard left,” Hensarling predicted. “And if he won’t, I know Nancy Reid Pelosi and Harry Reid will, particularly if they get anywhere close to 60 votes in the Senate. So we’ll see probably a wave of taxation on small business, we’ll see a wave of taxation on moderate-income Americans, we’ll see an explosion of lawsuit abuse that’ll send jobs overseas. For those that believe in freedom and opportunity, it’s not a pretty picture.” Back to you, Tim.

If your small business fails due to restrictions in government handouts, well…that’s capitalism. If you didn’t suck at business, you wouldn’t fail.

I work for a very successful small business that’s been around for decades. My bosses all voted for Obama…proudly.

I’m thrilled for Obama/Biden. Certainly thrilled to see who is appointed Treasury Secretary(God,if you exist, pleasepleaseplease let Rubin get the nod…)
Its not over though until the votes are in on Prop 8 and Prop K in California.

I know a guy who’s probably worth about $50M, who voted for Obama. I talked to him on Monday about the election; he didn’t seem overly worried. He’s not the only wealthy person that I know that voted for Barack.
Did he really say Nancy Reid (not Pelosi) and Harry Reid? Or is that a typo?
If that’s what he said, then he should move to Alaska and challenge Sarah Palin to a brain cell contest.
