She has stepped onto the patio to make some remarks, but it’s nearly impossible to hear her with the sound of traffic and construction and Southwest jets drowning her out. From what I can gather, she is thankful to Nancy Nasher and Jed Morse. Also she urges people to give to the Red Cross to help with Ike recovery efforts.

Contrary to the rumors, she says, they have not yet bought a house. When someone asks what her timeline is, she quips, “January 21.” Everyone laughs politely.
