It Takes Three DMN Reporters To Do What?

I’m not saying that the News didn’t come up with this morning’s front-page story on emails between city staffers and pro-tollway campaigners on its own, as it seems to claim. I’m just saying it’s interesting the story appeared as a banner headline the day after we directed your attention to Sam Merton’s independent reporting on the story over on Dallasblog.com. With that peculiar combination of small-mindedness and grandiosity we’ve come to expect from the News, it somehow neglected to mention Merton’s scoop.
