Remember the “Best of Big D Party”? Of course you do. Proceeds from the gig — $56,000 — went to Kidd’s Kids. So you know what Kidd did? You want to know why he’s one of the hardest-working guys in radio? Because to say thank you, he and his entire morning show brought us lunch from Dovie’s (including smoked duck). More than a couple of the ladies in the employ of the D empire were very excited to meet the man whose voice accompanies their morning drive. And it was all I could do to protect them from Big Al.
