There’s a strong chance you might be able to hit the slopes of Cow Town sometime in the near(ish) future, according to this story in this week’s Dallas Business Journal. The Colony-based firm Bearfire Group is looking at sites for a $750 million project similar to the one that lets shoppers in Dubai ski and snowboard. Bearfire is considering the 500-plus acre site that was going to be Intel’s semiconductor plant out by Alliance, until that thing fizzled. Note to the principals involved: If all goes accordingly and the indoor ski park happens, pleasepleaseplease come up with a better name than “winter megaplex.” (Your previous contender, “Coolzone Winterplex,” wasn’t so hot either.)
