Ton of e-mail this morning, most of it echoing what this TV-watching FBvian says:
I learned a very valuable lesson by watching Channel 8 News this evening: Byron Harris + Video Camera + Sweeps Week = Bad Things. You looked good and stuck to your guns, but you’re no match for an editing machine and the need to increase ratings.
Many FBvians also noted that the report unfairly and confusingly conflated us and Texas Monthly.
So that I could tolerate last night’s rogering from Byron Harris, I drank a whole bunch of red wine (also, if you must know, I prepared a hell of a baked orange roughy dish). I’ll need to drink some coffee and clear my head this morning before I share my thoughts on Harris’ sloppy reaming. But I look forward to Eric’s promised post on the matter.
