SCOTT HOWELL, YOU SLY DEVIL

Some political ads are more enjoyable than others, for reasons intentional and otherwise. The other day, I got a kick out of an attack ad against Tennessee Democrat Harold Ford that was up on Wonkette, because sarcasm is real funny. [eye roll] But then a little birdy told me to look closely.

Son of a gun, wouldja look at that. There, during the first "interview" with the woman who says, "Harold Ford looks nice ... isn't that enough?" In the background you can see blurry Observer, DMN, and Quick newsstands. Other "interviews" don't have distinguishable landmarks, but it's clearly the West End. Makes sense, too, since Dallas-based Scott Howell & Company, as has been reported, has campaign ties. What, is Tennessee not photogenic enough?
