REPUBLICANS-IN-NAME-ONLY?

The Club for Growth has compiled a congressional ranking based on how members voted to cut pork, overhaul House procedures, and either eliminate earmarks or make them more transparent, all based on the 19 reform measures proposed by Rep. Jeff Flake of Arizona. Republicans Jeb Hensarling and, I'm glad to see, Pete Sessions ranked the highest, backing 19 out of 19 and 14 out of 19, respectively. But the rest of our local Republican stiff-armed attempt to stop Congress' spending binge. Here's how they ranked:
Sam Johnson, 9
Ralph Hall, 2
Joe Barton, 3
Kay Granger, 0
Ken Marchant, 2
Michael Burgess, 0
These RINOs parade themselves as conservatives when running for re-election, then vote like big-spending Democrats in Washington.
UPDATE: To claify, these votes were 19 specific attempts to strip appropriations bills of egregious earmarks. For more information, go to the Club for Growth site.
