That unsubstantianted and inflammatory rumor, if I may dignify it as such, about "qualified" teachers getting canned and replaced with "inexperienced" ones who can speak Spanish bears all the hallmarks of coded racism. For a start, what's wrong with speaking Spanish? Or is that Spanish-speakers are likely to be Mexican-American?

It's beneath Gwynn, who acknowleges that he has yet to hear any validation, to pass along that kind of thing. And of us to pass it along further.
