UH-OH, TIVO

If I were on the jury of the trial Tivo v. Echostar, I would bring my TiVo remote and demonstrably punch buttons on it. "Bo-BOOP!" I would say loudly, pretending to rewind parts that confused me. "BOO-boop," I would say again, when appropriate. "Dunh! Dunh!" I would say when a lawyer I didn't like started talking. The Dallas jury awarded TiVo $73 million for lost profits and royalties. The company's losses widened today, but TiVo wants to use the Dallas verdict to prevent EchoStar from putting out DVRs of its own.

In other news, I love TiVo.
