OPEN LETTER TO GARY KUSIN, CEO OF KINKO'S
Dear Mr. Gary Kusin:
I read with dismay today's story in the Dallas Morning News detailing how your company essentially stole millions of dollars from DISD through a sour contract. You should be ashamed of your company and of yourself. As a corporation based in Dallas, Kinko's has a vested interest in the performance of DISD and the education of the children who attend its schools. By jobbing the district on its copying and printing bill, you took money that could have been used to hire teachers and buy text books. Children paid the price. Sadly, we in Dallas have grown accustomed to the mismanagement of our school district--though many of us are working to change that. By instead taking advantage of that mismanagement, you have proven yourself a swindler and bad neighbor.
But you can redeem yourself. Kinko's can make restitution. I call on you to return what you stole from the taxpayers and from the children who attend DISD. Five million dollars sounds fair. I await your reply.
Sincerely,
Tim Rogers
