GINA MILLER GETS A NEW GIG
I have to tip my hate--er, hat--to Channel 8. Last week, I hinted that Gina Miller had left the station (because I was too busy or too lazy to call them and verify the rumor, take your pick). I put up a picture of her from Channel 8's site. Well, she has indeed left. If you follow that link, you'll see that Channel 8 has a new graphic on its server where once the pic of Miller resided. And the new graphic takes a shot at FrontBurner. Well done, guys.
Miller can now bee seen on our broadcast partner, Channel 11. She joins a long list of former Channel 8 staffers who've jumped ship to join 11. The full release follows:
GINA MILLER JOINS THE CBS 11/UPN 21 SPORTS TEAM
DALLAS/FORT WORTH – Gina Miller has joined CBS 11 and UPN 21 as a sports reporter.
Miller is a Dallas native and joins the stations from WFAA-TV, where she spent the last three years as a sports reporter. Prior to that, she reported, produced and hosted programs for the SilverStar Network, the television production arm of the Dallas Cowboys. Miller’s resume also includes work at KHOU-TV (Houston), WBIR-TV (Knoxville, Tenn.), KUAM-TV (Guam), as well as previous freelance work for CBS 11. In college, she interned with the Houston Rockets, where she received a championship ring in the 1994-95 season.
Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts in radio/television from the University of Houston.
In addition to her reporting duties, Miller will co-host the Dallas Mavericks pre- and postgame shows with Derek Harper on UPN 21, and she will be involved in various sports specials airing throughout the year on both stations.
