A sweet, tip-giving FrontBurnervian tells us that the Morning News has already prepared its response to Halbreich's AM Journal Express, which will launch Wednesday. She writes:

I just got hit up by a guy with the Dallas Morning News who is promoting a new DMN product called Quick. It's a free, tabloid-style newspaper, published daily, distributed via approx. 75 newspaper hawkers (for lack of a better word) in downtown (don't know about other areas) and stands. It launches Monday. He said that from conception to launch will be exactly 10 days.

Ladies and gentlemen, looks like we got ourselves an old-fashioned newspaper war. Grab popcorn.
