Five days until the end, and everyone is on the Breaking Bad train.
For one night only, J. Black’s usual Wednesday Booze & Brains trivia transforms into Los Geek Hermanos: A Breaking Bad Quiz. You’ll have eight rounds to get through five seasons and 61 episodes of minute detail. There will be prizes, so you’ll need to put together a team of the six most avid watchers you know. It’s five bucks for each player, and J. Black’s is featuring a special Blue Sky cocktail.
Also tonight, the Texas Theatre hosts Cuban-born interdisciplinary artist Tania Bruguera and SMU professor Noah Simblist for a conversation about the usefulness of art. Hint: art is very useful. The two will discuss how communities and individuals can embrace art as a tool to address social and political issues. The event, co-sponsered by Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas and SMU’s Meadows School of the arts, is free to attend, but you’ll probably want to order a drink at the bar.
