As you might remember, Mumford and Sons had to cancel their summer show after bassist Ted Dwane was hospitalized for a blood clot in his brain.
He’s recovered, happily, and the English folk band is back on the road. Their rescheduled Dallas show is tonight at Gexa Energy Pavilion, and you can still snag tickets online.
Elsewhere, LARK on the Park hosts Garrett Oliver, the brewmaster of Brooklyn Brewery, for a dinner that features six beers and chef pairings. Oliver is also the editor-in-chief of The Oxford Companion to Beer and author of The Brewmaster’s Table, so he might be able to tell you a thing or two. Seats are $80, and you have to call the restaurant for reservations.
Speaking of pairings, Mozzarella Co. in Deep Ellum continues its fall classes. Going back to school sounds pretty okay when you’re talking about wine and cheese. You’ll get a tour of where the cheesemaking magic happens, then learn how to make your own magic cheese and wine pairings.
