Val Kilmer Is Live-Tweeting His Day in Dallas

Val Kilmer is in town for tonight’s Dallas Film Society’s Art of Film gala, where he’ll be honored for his work in such iconic films as…Batman Forever? Real Genius, maybe?

Anyway, he’s in town, and LOVING IT. He’s spending today live-tweeting his journey.

He also found an old photo of himself from The Doors, which apparently the Dallas Film Society found, too, because it’s probably just a still from the film.

I would have thought that he’d be tweeting about how much he hates it here. Weird that he would be saying positive things about a city he was invited to come to and receive and honor for his work from….just like totally weird, ain’t it?

He’s off the hook for his involvement in “The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans,” which just might be the best film of the latter half of the 2000s. Does the new commenting system allow italics? I’m not a fool, I swear.

Our commenting system does not allow the use of html tags, so I’m afraid you’ll have to stick to quotation marks around composition titles. If it’s good enough for the AP Stylebook, it should be good enough for you.

I appreciate the info. A “test” post would have simply been embarrassing.

Kilmer should have won an Oscar for his 1993 Doc Holliday in Cosmantos’ “Tombstone”

If it’s any consolation, he *was* nominated for a MTV Movie Award that year for “Most Desirable Male.”
