The Vice Presidential debate is tonight, 8 p.m., on ABC, or live on ABCNews.com. Make time for that, if you can, and make sure “Joe Biden gives a double thumbs up” is part of your drinking game.
Before that, though, there’s AT&T Performing Arts Center’s Patio Sessions. This evening’s free concert features The Blurries as the headlining act, a local band that also happens to be the best music act in Dallas. In the collective humble opinion of our editors, of course. Zhora opens the show around 5:30 p.m., so arrive in time to set up your blankets and picnic baskets. Non-alcoholic drinks and food are allowed.
Also tonight, Anthony Gonzalez’s hazy indie pop project M83 has yet to sell out Palladium Ballroom. This is good news for you, since Gonzalez, who is French, puts on an awesome live show. “Midnight City” from M83’s latest release, Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming, is my golden retriever’s favorite song. It’s also the popular one on the radio, so, easy to recognize.
