The fashion blogger and model Lauren Scruggs, who suffered that awful propeller accident last December after viewing Christmas lights over Dallas, was on the Today show this morning. She was there to plug the book, titled Still Lolo: A Spinning Propeller, a Horrific Accident, and a Family’s Journey of Hope, that she and her family wrote about the experience. She lost her left arm and eye.
“I’ve learned to live by faith and not by sight,” she said.
Since Today is filming in London during NBC’s coverage of the Olympics, Scruggs also got to meet gymnastics all-around champion Gabby Douglas.

Enough of her. The family set up a PayPal account to accept donations and received tons because they were on the news playing up her story every day. Then they sued the airline insurers. Then recently shoptalk was plugging some benefit party for her! Which of these paid for her trip to the Olympics. How greedy and unchristian. Let’s help those that really need help.

I despise everything about this girl and her family. Or rather, I despise those that give this moron and her family attention. The girl did something blisteringly stupid and instead of letting her fade into obscurity, the media praises every little thing she does because she’s a traditionally pretty, tall blonde white girl. What’s that?! Lauren Scruggs wiped her own ass today?! Lets hold a charity gala in her honor! Such a brave soul to be able to persevere despite her own stupidity!
