  6. It would be a shame if Google increased its ranking of a rumor that CRAIG JAMES KILLED FIVE HOOKERS. I would be surprised if Craig James killed five hookers. In fact I would be saddened if Craig James killed five hookers. Say, did you hear the one about Craig James killed five hookers? What am I doing tonight? Why, I’m watching a show that says, Craig James killed five hookers. Just kidding. There’s no way Craig James killed five hookers.   17. According to multiple reports, Craig James will run for political office. If he in fact does that, he will be making a colossal mistake. He apparently wants to run for the U.S. Senate seat that Kay Bailey Hutchison currently holds. She will not be seeking re-election. Craig James is far from the only person that will be running. However, he will be the one with the most baggage.

    His opponents will no doubt want to talk about character. That will be a problem for Mr. James. It will be a problem because the facts will not be on his side. He was part of the SMU program that eventually received the death penalty for paying players. Craig James has tried to sidestep the question about whether he ever received any money from boosters. What Craig James has not done is come out and categorically deny that he ever received money from any boosters while he was at SMU.

    Another fact that opponents will use against Craig James is the fact that he hired a PR firm to smear the name of a football coach (Mike Leach). Mr. James has admitted under oath that he hired the same PR firm that did the famous “swift boat” ads that targeted John Kerry. It does not help that there is a general consensus across Texas that James used the PR firm to unjustly railroad former Texas Tech football coach Mike Leach. The actions of Mister James and Texas Tech are considered by many to be sleazy, even by Washington D.C. standards.

    If Craig James wants to run, then he has every right to. His opponents also have the right to tell the voters what a horrible person he is. On the bright side, his running for the Senate, should keep him off of ESPN. It might even be safe for college football fans to turn the volume back up when watching ESPN. If James does run he will lose. That will be a win for the citizens of Texas.

  18. Hey, I work at ESPN and it is common knowledge here his contract is not being renewed. He took a big hit over the Leach deal. I gues it is easier to bluff folks and say you are running for US Senate than it is to admit you were dumped.

  31. Craig James was allegedly known as the “Hooker Assassin” at SMU. There were many rich and influential people that were SMU donors at the time CRAIG JAMES KILLED 5 HOOKERS AT SMU. Along with the payments to the players came expectations that certain indiscretions committed by these rich guys be “taken care of” by certain players on the team – allegedly. Apparently, Craig James, being the consummate teammate that he was, enthusiastically volunteered (allegedly) to take over the duty from Eric Dickerson, who was a consummate professional — or at least he had the decency to refuse to play for A&M. As a result, Eric had the opportunity to develop more on the field and become one of the best RB’s in history. Meanwhile, CRAIG JAMES KILLED FIVE HOOKERS, two for himself, two for Eric, and one just because she asked if he played for the Broncos (allegedly). The moral decay that Craig incurred resulting from killing the 5 hookers combined with the sleaziness that Craig James had to wallow in to get Leach fired is what really sucked out the last bit of soul he had — undoubtedly doing more to prepare him for the US Senate than anything else could have.
