Wait, wait, wait. Hang on a second. A couple months ago, Al Hill III and his wife, Erin, were indicted on multiple felony counts of mortgage fraud. He didn’t have a lawyer at the time, and he was wrangling with his father, Al Hill Jr., over what part of the family trust he was owed. In short, things did not look flush for Al III. But now comes word that he just bought a $9 million house in Atlanta? Hightailing it out of Dallas I can understand. But landing in such luxe digs? [scratches head]

And the rich get richer…
And Celeste stops unpacking to begin the first big story for his new gig.
@ Cynthia,
Just a slight correction
And the crooks get richer…
@XT I don’t understand why they are considered crooks. I just researched up on Al 3 and he does seem to be a “crook.” I believe that you are stereotyping all wealthy people to be crooks. There are corrupt wealthy people, especially in Texas, but I am not sure I would consider him one of them. It looks like he is just attempting to get away from it.
This is a family matter that played out in the press. It is reallllly no ones business.IF the law was broken then the lawyers will do what they do…..make money.
yoyo- when you lie on a mortgage application that is criminal. How they got the money is a head scratcher. I hear he hasn’t paid his attorneys either.
I think unless we ask Al three or his lawyers about what really happened….we need to stop playing into the bad press and judging what we don’t know. From what I read..Al three was trying to make what his grandmother,Margaret hunt wanted come true. Everything he did was to make happen what was in her will to be carried out even if it meant losing money for himself…. So I am less than convinced that these lies are true. Also…I read Al 3 was the executor of her estate and her favorite grandchild. Go figure??
