Your man crush on Rhett has no boundaries nor time limit nor “past freshness” date.

That Rhett Miller probably thinks he has it all — looks, brains, an idyllic rural life with his family that is punctuated by high-energy tours with his highly successful band, and A-list national magazines clamoring for his idle pontifications vis-a-vis a subject upon which he can probably shed no more fresh perspective than the Man in the Moon. But I have something that guy will never have:

ROLL CREDITS WITH CRICKET SOUNDS.
[no applause, no theme music; it's a this-has-been-a-serious-episode-engaging-Important-Issues moment]

I don’t have a man crush on Rhett, but I like him. I also really like the Old 97s. With that said, I really don’t know why the Atlantic thinks Rhett’s 9/11 diary would be more compelling than others (and yes, I know he lived in the Financial District).
