Park Cities People’s Merritt Patterson takes realtor Bill Cherry to task for some of his recent assertions on his real estate blog.
Having read it, I have some questions, too. Should we itemize them? Sure, let’s jump and itemize.
1. Cherry says,” The cities share a no-nonsense police department that, by keeping its officers on the road — most in very visible SUV patrol wagons — it can’t be anything less than obvious that those passing through had better not misbehave.” Well, not really. Highland Park and University Park have separate police departments.
2. Cherry says, “Since no poor people of any measurable amount live in the Park Cities, no poor children are enrolled in Highland Park ISD.” In other words, if you have a intense dislike of poor people and poor children, the Park Cities are for you!
3. Cherry says, “And the cost of those schools is paid by tax dollars.” Pretty much all public schools – no wait, ALL public schools – are paid for by tax dollars. Highland Park ISD also raises a pant load of money with Mad for Plaid and other efforts – and that money goes to pay what tax dollars do not.
So in conclusion, I suggest the following new topics for blog posts:

Also, if you’re found with a single off-label Adderall and accused of prostitution — as I have been — you will be victimized by a robust and vindictive whisper circuit, then run out of town on a rail. And that will make you — it will make you cry. (For the record, I give legitimate foreign massages, like Swedish or something, which relieve stress. That’s all I can say at this time.)

@Daniel, Why did you have said off-label Adderall without a prescription? Yes, you were “accused” of prostitution and will have your day in court. If you don’t think it is legitimate to discuss community safety after alleged prostitution, confirmed underage drinking and use of illegal narcotics, and the death of a 20 year old kid most likely from a drug overdose all happen at your house in under a year…that makes me want to cry.

Park Cities: The New Black! (unless that’s your race).
A quick property search seems to indicate that Mr. Cherry does NOT live in the Park Cities. As a UP resident myself, I felt compelled to point out that this silliness is not emanating from within.
What’s all the fuss about? Bill Cherry is simply pointing out the facts regarding UP and HP. There are cops (shocker), there are rich people (shocker), there are few poor people (shocker), and the schools are public and exemplary (shocker).
Yeah, well, their children and cops may be exemplary, but if I’m the best they can do for a prostitute, why in Hell would Bill Cherry bother moving out of that by-the-week motel by the truck stop? Have you seen my mugshot?

Am I the only one disturbed by the term “SUV patrol wagons”? I’ve seen SUVs, patrol cars and station wagons (not in the Park Cities), but I do not believe I have ever seen the tragic mating product of the three.

Therefore, even if the every single one of the 49 “unknown” murderers (no snitchin’ yo!) were whites, the black murderers would still outnumber them!!!!!
