This Christmas tie was given to our old friend Jerry Merwin, security manager at St. Paul Place, a couple of years ago by a former assistant property manager for the building. She told Jerry that while she liked buying ties for men, she could never buy them for her husband, because he doesn’t wear ties. Jerry, on the other hand, wears one every day.

This one is my favorite.
This one represents the snow that fell on the manger that starry night. The heavier print represents mirh. Or as Jerry calls it……Mirhwin.
Beautiful. A true celebration of the repeal of DADT.
So I complimented Jerry on this tie today, then mentioned something about it being seasonal – not just Christmas-y.
“Nope,” he said, shining a flashlight* on it to reveal little watermark-looking candy canes. “It’s a Christmas tie, too.”
*It took him like two seconds to produce said light. I think it was in his pocket.
