Three Degrees Of Joint Separation For Willie, Bobby And Arvin
A week ago Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West (pictured) was in town for his buddy Bobby Duvall’s appearance at the Dallas Film Society’s “The Art of Film.” During Duvall’s talk with Elvis Mitchell, Bobby mentioned how stupid movie suits were when they opted not to have Willie Nelson promote Duvall’s Tender Mercies.
The El Paso Times reported that 77-year old Willie and two others on his bus were arrested on charges of marijuana possession Friday in Hudspeth. Arvin reported that Willie said the pot was his.
According to Arvin,
“It’s kind of surprising, but, I mean, we treat him like anybody else.
“He could get 180 days in county jail, which if he does, I’m going to make him cook and clean. He can wear the stripy uniforms just like the other ones do.”
Guess Willie should have listened to Toby.

As a side note, I saw Willie at Winstar last night and it was the first time I saw him that I did not enjoy his show. He seemed to be talking through his songs and I missed that smooth, rich melodic voice of his.
So, if this was due to a cop busting him and taking his stash to make a name for himself, he should know that Willie fans do not appreciate it.
Legalize POT….today. Right now. This moment.
Well; they have the manpower to bust a 79 Year old man with 6 oz of pot … yet; not the manpower to keep the ILLEGALS out of the country or to send the ILLEGALS back …
Glad to learn that the American Taxpayer Dollars are being put to such a good use …

After talking with Sheriff West at the Duvall event, I can tell you he is extremely concerned about illegal aliens in his county and is doing everything in his power to deal with the problem.
So, how many thousands of dollars and dozens of law enforcement hours are being spent on making sure that Willie is not a threat to society? This is the height of foolishness. Legalize this plant and let’s get busy solving the real crimes out there, like murder, rape and corporate fraud.
That’s right, Colonel. In other news, they have the cleverness to beat an 8-year-old at checkers in 20 minutes, but not the cleverness to right the global economy in — wait for it — 20 days. A real head-scratcher, but there you have it.
