Help me understand why the media — especially the sports media — insist on adding “your” when describing sports entities?
For example…
Yoooourrr… Dallas…. Staaaaars!
Your AL MVP
Your sucky Cowboys
Do fans need to be reminded that these entities are “ours”? Conversely, how dare they force these sports on me.

It’s like this, Buddy’s Bell. We all get together once a year, and figure out which random, anonymous reader we’d like to tick off, and how to do it.
