I hope you’ve bought tickets to tonight’s Jigu! Thunder Drums of China show. I will forgive the awkwardly placed exclamation point (ordinarily I really hate! it when people take such liberties with language) because this performance looks like a ton of fun. Twenty-eight colorfully clad percussionists banging away on their instruments with a backdrop of high-tech lighting? What’s not to like? An aside: I bet these folks are a pretty relaxed group. Drumming seems like a much better way to work out aggression than, say, typing, and it’s much safer then road rage.
