Things to Do in Dallas Tonight: Oct. 25

Hello, FrontBurner readers. I trust the taste of Friday’s victory is still sweet on your lips? Good. Now, jump with me, and learn how to make today excellent, too.

First of all, if you find yourself with some free time between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today, I recommend you check out “Context” at Richland College. In this exhibit, Lupita Murillo Tinnen looks at the homes of undocumented people living in the U.S. Keith Wilson has photographed a number of apartment complexes in Austin’s Hyde Park, the grand names of which belie the quality of life for those who occupy them. Cheery? No. Thought-provoking? Probably.

For lunch or dinner today, go grab a Caesar salad at the Westin Galleria, Urban Crust, or Kirby’s Woodfire Grill. Why those places, you might ask? Because, as Andrew Chalk points out on our Dallas food blog, their chefs proved themselves the best makers of this delicious dish at the Caesar salad competition this past weekend.

If you can find room on your heart to forgive the Cowboys for not living up to your expectations so far this season, then show them some support by watching them play the New York Giants tonight, either in person or at a watch party (gotta support the local economy, you know).

In the mood for something mellower? If you live in Plano or are willing to drive there, consider dining to live piano music at Season 52.

Browse these other great things to do in Dallas, and have a great night.

  1. Season 52’s menus have no prices on them. That always scares the hell out of me.
