I’ve read some moving stories today about people’s long, tortured relationship with the Texas Rangers and the absolute joy they are now feeling. One that stands out — I believe I saw this on the Twitter feed of Ben Rogers (of ESPN’s “Ben and Skin” show) — was from a man whose father died a month ago, who found out yesterday his pop had left him money specifically to buy World Series tickets. (Just got dusty in here again.) Anyway, it’s Friday, you’re probably not doing anything other than thinking about tonight’s game, so talk it up in the comments, InsideCorner-style. I’ll try to approve them as fast as I can.

Went to Freebirds on Beltline so I could conveniently drive up Inwood for Makers Mark. A college buddy from the ’80s is coming to my place to watch it. Oh, and bought a new big screen the day the Rangers clinched. Yes, it’s Time!
