Tom Hicks lost Liverpool after the court lifted the restraining order against the sale of the club to Red Sox owners New England Sports Ventures. Basically, the judge here – Jim Jordan – lifted the RO and the contempt citations against NESV because Hicks was asking for the same thing here that English courts had already denied.
My favorite part of this story?
“Hicks will continue with his suit that asks for $1.6 billion in damages against the club, arguing that the board and the Royal Bank of Scotland conspired to make Hicks lose money.”
Does anyone really have to help Hicks lose money on sports teams? He’s basically his own personal cooler, right?

Thankfully, now Hicks and his repugnant children are out of Anfield. Hopefully this will show him that you actually have to care about a team like Liverpool to own them. He certainly has learned that passion overrules greed in this instance.
Kudos to the Scouse fans worldwide who kept vigil. Let’s hope sunshine is on the horizon. Now if the Rangers can get a little love tonight, it will be a total kick in the pants for the jowly one!
Well, if someone can take the Stars off his hands, we’ll have the trifecta.
Any similarity to a snake shedding skins is purely coincidental. But then it could be like an insect metamorphosis except we don’t know what might arise from the pupae or nymph.
