World’s Slowest Police Chase Going On Right Now

WFAA.com’s video loaded up faster for me, but apparently a guy carjacked a truck. Or maybe it’s truck jacked. Anyway, he took this vehicle at knifepoint. At some point, he lost a wheel. Now he’s just meandering aimlessly around Dallas.

Now he went through a fence. Still on three wheels. Should I live blog this? Sure.3:22: He’s driving around some thing. I don’t know what it is, because WFAA’s sound is killing me, and they’re not saying anything. So there’s that. He’s moving kinda fast for a guy with only three wheels. Also, he’s shirtless. And probably on his cell phone.

3:34: He’s got a bunch of squad cars around him, and now some darker colored vehicle in front of him. I think he’s at an airport hangar thingie. Now he’s in the grass. Donuts!

3:24: Oh, now they’ve stopped him. Apparently he doesn’t want to get out of the truck. He’s on the ground now, and cuffed. Also, he is wearing jorts. No, wait. It may be a kilt.

So there you go, folks. I wonder what part of his childhood robleted him to a life of crime? Also, should you really wear no shirt and questionable trousers when going carjacking? Also, shouldn’t you get a better car, with four wheels?

  1. I sure hope none of our Frontburnerians were planning on flying into or out of Love this afternoon. I’m thinking Runway 13L is gonna be out of commission for some time.

  4. That guy needed to be machine gunned after he entered the Love Field property. He was within 100 yards of a loaded Southwest Airlines 737, on the runway! Headed right at it. Kudos to the guy in the red pickup truck that veered the guy off the runway. Otherwise he might have run into the SWA plane. Total disaster diverted. That could have been very very bad. City of Dallas needs to revisit their security issues at the airport.

  5. Let’s speculate. Will my wife’s 7:30 flight into Love be delayed? If so, by how long? Place your bets – closest to arrival time without going over wins nothing.

  9. What is “robleted”? Is that some kind of truckjacker slang?

  11. P.P.S. Oh. I read these in reverse chronological order. Well, okay:

    Robleting the Three-Wheeled Truckjacker

= ambitious, overlooked concept album; the third and penultimate release, in 1975, by Nathaniel Fairfax. A mere two years later, he was dead at 32 under questionable circumstances. His lifeless body was found on a yacht, docked in Catalina, that he had borrowed from his close friend, the session bassist and epic partier Jesse Wayne Cook. Close associates aver that Cook was a bad influence with an appetite for the hard stuff. After initial questioning, Cook was cleared of any wrongdoing and Fairfax’s demise was ruled “death by misadventure.” His left buttock was never recovered.
