From my window on the 21st floor of St. Paul Place, across the street from the DMA, I get to watch the planes coming in on their approach to Love Field. Normally it’s all (or mostly all) Southwest flights. Today, though, I’ve noticed a distinct increase in landings by private jets. I’m guessing these are high-rollers coming in for the NBA All-Star Game?

@JS: As a conscientious employee, I try to do everything possible to minimize the chances that I have to make a health insurance claim. When I lift boxes at work, I do it with my legs, not my back. I try to avoid carpel tunnel injuries by sitting properly at my desk (and changing my position frequently).
Which brings us to my eyes. To avoid the sort of computer-screen-generated eye strain that can lead to medical problems, doctors suggest you periodically change your field of vision so that your eyes focus on something in the distance. Thus, every so often, when I see a plane fly by, I glance out the window.
Not lazy. Conscientious.
(Of course, the sexual harassment lawsuit is going to eat up all the savings from my medical bills. Sorry about that, boss.)
There is a pretty much constant stream of private jets every day, most of them come in further to the west and Southwest come in the the east closer to your building. They be changing the flight path for general aviation today for some reason.
No. These would be flying in for the afternoon tea at the Union Gospel Mission.
I have polished my supermarket cart specially for the occasion.
Too bad we don’t have any casinos to make money off the high rollers…
