The following just came from the fine folks who operate the Idle Rich:
Brett Landes of the Landes Group has purchased 500 tickets to the Mavs vs. Hawks game this Saturday, December 5th. As he did Thanksgiving week for the Mavs vs. 76ers game, he will be giving them away compliments of the Landes Group at the Idle Rich Pub. Mr. Landes will be at the pub Thursday evening at 5:30pm with 500 lower bowl, platinum seating tickets. There is a limit of two tickets per person, so for bigger groups all people wanting a ticket need to be present. There is no catch, Brett simply wants to spread some holiday cheer to his neighbors in Uptown. Thank you Brett and Go Mavs!
I don’t doubt that Landes wishes to spread cheer. But I also think there’s something afoot here about ensuring the Mavs appear on the boob tube. In any case, get you some.

there is nothing afoot here. I have been doing this for 6 years. in the past the tics have gone to charities…quietly. however, considering we have just weathered the worst economic recession since the great depression isn’t every american a charity in one way or another. just a simple act of goodwill…that is it.

I have been unemployed for 2 years. and have had several meidcal, (orthppedic surgeries, ove that period.
That alone is not way I am asking for help with tickets.
Our son, is 26, and has caused himself many problems, no excuses for that, he has been clean for a few years, has a new little girl and will marry the young lady this year. he is working 60 hours a week, to get enough money to get his little family here.
our son is a huge Mavs fan, and I can’t afford to something nice for him, he is now showing a work ethic, never seen before, talks everyday to his daughter and wife to be, crys at night, he is staying with us.
it would be a great treat to get him to the Mavs gamne, I appreciate the consideration.
