The light is the dividing point. Fergusons White Rock Terrace and the new bike shop is Dallas Wildcat country, we won't mention the pc of junk that was there between the Terrace and a nice new clean business

The Ferguson Family were the owners of the White Rock Terrace when it was the place to go.Steve Millers dad was best friends with Les Paul, and Les Paul loved going to the White Rock Terrace, all of SMU used to hang out at the Terrace. It is said in the Morning News Archives, that Dick Ferguson was the Pioneer of Dixie Land Jazz in North Texas . When Ferguson had it is was a really nice addition to the area with cruise around White Rock Lake on the party barge with Fergusons band playing on the barge. Those were the good days of that location.

All the media types in "NORTH TEXAS" should be required to take Dallas history and geography. The property in question is in original Wildcat territory:

LH has always been dry. In more ways than one.

Lake Highlanders usually don't get levity (they 'snear'?). So cbs you live up behind the Devil Worshipper's house?

I wouldn't exactly put PT's in Lakewood, but it's not in LH despite the map the LHAIA drew a few years ago which took in the Cloisters, Fisher Rd. and W. Lawther Drive almost down to Woodrow Hill(REAL Wildcat Country). I'm glad it's been revised:

http://www.lhaia.org/images/map_large.gif

Nope, PT's is not in that one..

Anyhow one of the REAL Wildcats used to own it when it was the White Rock Terrace. Those days were the pre-carbon (copy) era.

Also we are proud to claim a few liquor stores and strip joints (another difference between LH and Lakewood) We fondly remember the Athens Strip, Painted Duck, Tamlo et al. Old Lakewood homophone humor "I got kicked out of the Fair/Fare" Uh which one?

I'm still upset that Centennial at Greenville and Mockingbird just went down to become another branch bank. Centennial was owned by a REAL Wildcat also!

I not sure we could claim the old Lone Star Drive-in as exclusively ours. Since you are a proud Dallasite you do know where that was, right?

@LakeWWWooder- aside from the comedy and apart from your frequent visits there, did you claim PT's as one of Lakewood's finer establishments? Do you also claim the liquor stores on both sides of NW HWY/Lawther as Lakewood's? Just wondering as I wanted to make sure I get classified properly since I live atop Flagpole Hill (where I snear at you lowly lakewooders below).
;-)
Proud to live in the L to the H...wherever her boundaries may spread.

I love Dallas Bike Works and will gladly support them in their new location. Their employees are less cranky and actually look you in the eye when you talk to them unlike another certain local bike store behemoth.

The Lake Highlands connection is that the good people of Lake Highlands have to drive over there to buy their beer and liquor. So it's extremely important to them.
