Is anyone going to comment on that really ugly building that will be the Bush Library?
$500,000.00 for that? Is Ray Hunt kidding? Who is the architect? SMU is turning out to be a really BAD neighbor. IJS

I love this Bush quote from the Meyerson: “My hope is that when objective history is finally written, that historians will use [the book] as a basis to understand our times.”

That's similar to what he said in Canada last March: "I'm going to put people in my place, so when the history of this administration is written at least there's an authoritarian voice saying exactly what happened."

Never mind the use of "authoritarian." Maybe he meant "authoritative." Who knows? A classic pick 'em, as they say in Vegas.

But since when is one man's take on what happened considered "objective history?" Objective means "undistorted by emotion or personal bias." His book may be many things, but it will doubtless not be that.

He needs to swing for the fences.
