Ben and Skin Land at 103.3 FM
You can read the full release after the jump, but the headline is pretty self-explanatory. The duo, whose columnar efforts we recognized with a “best” designation in 2008, has gotten a gig with the Worldwide Leader. They will occupy the 6 to 9 p.m. slot. It’ll be good to have them back on the radio. I’ll try to make a point of tuning in at some point. But my sports dial will have a hard time straying from the Ticket. Just saying.

To Co-Host 6-9 p.m. Slot and Mavericks Pre- and Post-Game Shows

Irving, TX – High profile Dallas / Ft. Worth [NB: should be "Fort Worth"] sports radio personalities Ben and Skin will bring their brand of sports talk and humor to 103.3 ESPN Radio’s 6-9 p.m. CT M-F time slot starting November 10th. Ben and Skin were born and raised in the DFW area and will bring credible opinions and compelling analysis to Dallas / Ft. Worth sports fans.
Ben and Skin have spent more than 10 years co-hosting radio and TV shows in Dallas Ft. Worth and received D Magazine’s 2008 “Best Columnists” award for their weekly pop culture feature in Quick, the Dallas-Fort Worth area’s weekly entertainment newspaper. Skin is currently enjoying his rookie season as a Dallas Mavericks TV courtside analyst.
Tom Lee, 103.3 ESPN program director said, “Ben and Skin are lifelong Dallas sports fans and have covered our local teams for the past decade.” Lee continued “Their knowledge of Dallas Ft. Worth sports will provide our fans with a higher level of local sports coverage in a unique and entertaining style.”

Ben and Skin’s first Mavericks Pre and Post Game show duties will be on Tuesday November 10th and Wednesday November 11th. Their first show will air on Thursday November 12th from 7pm-9pm following TCU’s Coach Patterson show.

the 6-9 slot has suddenly become very good at both the Fan (Arnie Spanier) and ESPN. I have no problem flipping my band (locked on the Ticket otherwise) as the old HL just ain’t what she used to be.
I salute their courage. After 7, would be happy to listen to them, but 103.3 pretty much sucks the rest of the day.
I can’t speak for their recent work, but anytime they were on the Ticket was time I was not on the Ticket.

What would be great is if they could find a way to launch Michael Irvin out of his lame slot. That guy deserves every bit of the ire that he draws from Dan and Bob on The Ticket.
