I’ve seen the question asked in comments, and it has been posed to me directly via e-mail: why is posting so light? First, you realize this is all free, right? Okay. Well, the other thing is, we are moving. So in addition to doing our jobs this week, we are packing up crap and tossing crap and stealing unwanted crap from each other. In short: it takes time, time we might have otherwise spent blogging.
Tomorrow, we will have a giveaway, your chance to win a small sampling of our crap (some of which is actually desirable). Hang in there.

@Tim
Does “light” mean low volume or lightweight? I saw the comment that (I think) you are referring to about your choice of posts. Soooooo… it does seem odd that you’ve only posted one comment about Don Hill & Co.’s conviction considering its importance and your competitors’ (i.e. D.O. and TDMN) voluminous coverage. Not even a “stay tuned” next week for more coverage?
Why don’t you steal wanted crap from each other. It seems more logical if not more likely.
@Putt Putt: The News and especially the Observer have done a great job covering the trial. I haven’t been down at the courthouse and, therefore, don’t have anything to add. I’m sure Jim Schutze will write a great wrap-up, and I look forward to reading it.
I always get amused when the defense for lack of content is “it’s free, right?”
Are those ads over there on the side free? Did they expect a few posts as well?
I’m so snarky this morning. I miss Jane at 10.
@Dallasite: One man’s unwanted crap is another’s treasure. You know how it goes.
Don’t you guys miss 3 Metro Square?
But Tim, you are not the only one on the staff. Why isn’t Wick, the person with the most interest in politics, commenting on this story and/or the coverage? It’s more relevant than the primary b/w Gov. Zipperhead and Sen. Chanel.
@Amanda: Wick has been out of town for two weeks. It’s nice to know you missed me. But how is a former city councilman’s conviction “more relevant” than a governor’s race? Really, I’m curious. Relevant to what?
Jeez louise, Wick. First you refer to yourself in the third person, then you infer that a corruption case with deep and ongoing implications for my city is less important than pumping the primary.
I appreciate your passion for the Senator from the Grand Duchy of Park Cities because we all want her to beat the man who is destined to become a door-to-door hairdryer salesman.
The primary, however, is not until March 2010, and the corruption cases and their implications are timely and worthy of more coverage right now in the city magazine of Dallas.
