Hansen Amazed By Prices at Cowboys Stadium

Dale Hansen IMG_1127With the “outrageous” price of everything at Cowboys Stadium, Belo8 sportscaster Dale Hansen isn’t surprised that ‘Boys owner Jerry Jones saw his wealth actually increase over the last 12 months (according to Forbes magazine, anyway). Though Hansen says Jones may never sell naming rights to the stadium–”How can a company justify spending [millions] for that, when they just laid people off?”–he’s impressed by gambits like Jones’ $29 “party pass” ticket. “Then they charge them $8 for a beer–and they’re all drunk,” said Hansen (pictured). “Hell, I’m not sure I could get a buzz on with $8 a beer!” He made the remarks last night before addressing a big charity crowd at Bentley Dallas.

  3. I always wondered if the stories were true about Hansen leaving Louie’s at 10:15 pm to do the sports downtown.

    I don’t remember seeing him there but he was at In Cahoots (now Park Lane development) back in the day.

  4. But of course he failed to mention that at Texas Stadium last year, Beer was $8.00 dollars.

  5. Just because he said it does not mean it is not true. The second that the “Party Pass” concept was floated, I knew it was a vehicle to increase parking and beer revenue.

    That doesn’t mean I won’t try it once, though.
