Helping get the word out about a project of one Dallas guy at this event.

His failure to meet Drew here actually sparked this project!

@ GiGi, not sure why you would assume i or the dallas deception men's team would publish anything harmful against another league. i have no problems or hard feelings with ACRD over past occurances. there are girls with that league that i respect highly as skaters and i have friends there too. whoever posted that comment has nothing to do with our men's team or myself. thanks for showing some character and throwing me under the bus. best of luck to you and your league.
In regards to the premiere, it was very sad to see some people turned away from the movie, but this is how premieres work, it even stated on the tickets that they hand out more tickets than seats available to insure a full house for filming purposes.
Dallas Deception's first home team game, october 17th, Forum Rollerworld, 7pm! ha-ha.

Edit: she could have stayed with us even though she was running late.

Please don't boycott her movie. This isn't Drews fault and it is her directorial debut guys!

It was definately poorly run and there was major miss-communication. If there is any way to some how repay people who didn't get in, they should try to do so. However, I do have to say- anyone that would wait for 5 hours in the rain with their 3 year old needs to reconsider their parenting skills. Way more than 15 people got in, about 50 I would say. I watched them all walk past me after I got my autograph and picture. I waited in line for 10 hours. I suggest getting to an even like this super early, cause you never know what might go wrong. (most people did not arrive until after 2pm and the wrists bands were to be handed out at 5:30). The problem is the interviewing that took 1 hour while we were wall supposed to be getting our autographs. They scheduled way to much for one night. If she didn't have to go do the q & a (for a whole other group that waited in line in the rain), then she could have stayed with us even though it was raining. Should have handed out way less wrist bands or done one event or the other.

Drew however was fabulous. Apologized for the rain. Signed autographs, took pics, and shook ands the whole way up the line on her way in. She signed whatever you gave her, even though the handlers said posters only. I wanted the poster signed though, considering this is her directorial debut.

WE LOVE YOU DREW. Completely worth 10 hours in the rain!

i feel all yalls pain. waited 6 hours and left with nothing but promo junk given to console us after being turned away...why pass out that many wristbands if you cant do that many people? there were alot of things wrong with last night. the event organizers: kiss fm, fox searchlight, moroch, urban outfitters, etc...they should have done a better job. the press and fan events should have been on separate times so that both had the time they needed. the screening shouldnt have been at the same time either. also each organizer who walked the line had a different story about what was going on. i dont think anyone knew what they were doing. what's sad is they didnt and probably wont try to make amends to us fans who got burned last night. i would take a free ticket to see the movie. it wont replace a photo with drew or meeting her in person or getting her autograph but it will atleast show some shred of apology over the chaos from last night. i wont hold my breath though. too bad, bc i was a huge fox searchlight fan...adam and 500 days of summer were my 2 favorite movies as of late. but now im not really sure i want to help fund a company and show support for something that cares so little about the fans.

It wouldn't hurt to contact Foxlight for those vouchers, since it was very chaotic in Mockingbird Station. The worst they could say is no, right?

They gave out free screening passes (only good after the movie comes out Oct. 2nd) if you stood in line waiting upstairs inside Angelika and could not get into the movie due to over occupancy. But I'm pretty sure you had to have the free admit two voucher from Foxlight.

Julie

You weren't the only one, took off work and stood out there for hours, was probably about 30ish in line and still went home with jack. Just about the poorest run event I've ever seen it was poorly handled and like you said if they knew they'd only be able to get through 15 people they should have just handed out that many passes and we could have been on our way
