I learned calligraphy from Ken Brown in 1978, from his then, white-faced calligraphy book. He is totally awesome! His book allowed me to teach calligraphy at the local craft shops. It was so much fun and his work is amazing. I then used the Osmiroid pen that Ken recommended, but since they went out of business, I am having trouble finding a pen to replace the Osmiroid. What do you use? Thank you for this website. Ken’s work is second to none.

I’m so glad you wrote this. I bet I’ve been through a dozen calligraphers over the years but could never find one I thought I could work with on anything other than a temporary basis. Thanks to you, I might have found one for good!
