Okay, maybe a stupid question, but if the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge is going to connect to Woodall Rodgers, and the existing Continental Bridge is going to become a pedestrian bridge, does that mean that there will no longer be a way to get from Singleton to Continental/Industrial? Because that would suck.

I’m interested in that party on the Continental Bridge — will the river be perfumed that night? If it’s a Tuesday night, issue gas masks to the patrons. Tuesdays are tough, I’ve noticed through the years.
Just as few white people cross the river going south, few birds can fly over the river either way — temperature and stench inversions. The river is an unnatural barrier. Put up all the bridges you want — until the climate changes and adds more flow to the stream, the Trinity through Dallas is just a sewage ditch. Maybe you could get some stimulous money to put a lid on it like the one over Woodall Rodgers. You know, cover the Trinity — like a cat would cover a similar stench.

As Schultze once said, better to advertise to whores than to whore yourself to City Hall.

Problem is, DMN can’t even come up with examples where they’ve broken stories…DISD Credit Card fraud? They stole that story, DART under budget, stole from DO, soil problems on Trinity, 0 for 3 DMNers, LIE-pert lied about funding/safety, etc.

Press release says: “A $2 billion public works project, the Trinity River Corridor Project is one of the largest such projects in the nation. Plans include a meandering river, downtown lakes, an island, wetlands, hike and bike trails, a whitewater course, riding paths and nature walks through the 6,000-acre Great Trinity Forest.”

Notice that no mention is made of the toll road? Maybe Trinity Trust is acknowledging reality.
