The former D Magazine editor introduces the idea almost as an afterthought in her DMN op-ed on the arts district. I think it’s brilliant. I second the motion.

I thought maybe we should have renamed Industrial Boulevard for Stanley Marcus (actually my first choice was Post-Industrial Blvd). I am in favor of naming anything for him, having spent my life in careers that require high-intensity customer service. But if we name the performance hall for him, don’t you think it should be the “Mr. Stanley” Performance Hall?
Memo to DMN copy editors: that’s Jaap van Zweden, not Jaap von Sweden.
