Re: Motorcade in Highland Park

I just got a call back from the DPD. The motorcade is for the former president of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf. A quick Google News search says he’s on a national speaking tour, which started in Grand Rapids. Now, we still don’t know why he was visiting whomever he was visiting, but we at least we know who the visitor is.

  1. Darn it. I told him he could come over to for a few brewskies, smoke a bowl and watch some DVDs at my Armstrong summer manse, but I told him just him and his lady, and I told Pevvy to keep it low key.

  4. Definitely not worth my HP tax dollars to have 100 cops stand around all day. Seriously, like 5 or 6 cops couldn’t do the escort thing?

  8. When Generalissimo Pervez Musharraf was here last time(2006) he visited with a doctor buddy of his that was living in Jane Wolfe’s home. It’s the O’Donnell home at Overhill and St. Johns.

    I’m not sure his friend still lives there though. I recall T. Boone Pickens and his wife lived there(rented)in 2007-08ish.

  11. He was visiting the Cardiologist that is mentioned in one of the comments. This Doctor use to live on the corner of Rheims and Armstrong before the house was sold and torn down. The former President use to visit at that location. Now the Doc resides on the corner of Belfort and Armstrong….
