Leading Off (01/16/09)

1. Dallas police dropped out of a long-delayed study on the best way to conduct a police lineup and just said, “Oh, heck, we all know what the best way to do this is: the sequential blind method.” So they’re going to change their policy and conduct lineups that way, since it leads to fewer misidentifications. You know, like Tall Pall explained long ago.

2. Quick, who raised more money: KBH for her run against Gov. Perry, or the anti-hotel forces in Big D? Or me for my new Turbulence Training D Magazine boot camp? Trick question: It’s a toss-up.

3. And, in case you doubted it, yes, as suspected, Jaap is a baadaass.

  2. I don’t get why KBH is popular. She’s been in the U.S. Senate during one of the worst foreign policy/economic disasters in our country.

  5. Ballantyne is a pretty good trainer. You can certainly do a lot worse. He does a good job of sticking to the basics.
