TCU J-School Scores A Big Hire

Redundant news for those who hit refresh on Romenesko early and often: TCU’s (Bob) Schieffer School of Journalism hired John Lumpkin as its director starting June 1. Lumpkin is a vice president and former bureau chief for Associated Press. He’s got Fort Worth ties, as he used to work at the Star-Telegram. Here’s the full announcement.

    It would be great to see an AP newsman take an AP pencil to that announcement.

    Whew! I’ll bet TCU nearly ran out of vowels and consonants.
