Marchmant should have been thrown out permanently but instead received suspensions for 2, 6, and 8 games. He was a cancer more than Avery will ever be. D) The suspension decision should have been left to the team. If the league is going to allow fighting (see previous post) and trash talking on the ice, they have no business throwing down suspensions this severe for off-ice quips. Team management decides what kind of players they want. If the team management doesn't want their players running their mouths to the media, team management should make the call as to whether or not he plays. That being said, should the comment been reserved for friends? Yes. But I have to admit I laughed out loud when I heard it. Two of his exes were picked up by other players. I mean, he has a point.
